Hilfs- und Zusatzprofile aus Metall können, abhängig von Material und Typ, sowohl mit als auch ohne Oberflächenendbehandlung eingebaut werden oder mit Fugenspachtel-Material fertig zum Streichen oder Tapezieren eingespachtelt werden. Sie behandelt die Leistungsmerkmale Brandverhalten und Biegezugfestigkeit (Biegeverhalten), die mit den entsprechenden europäischen Prüfverfahren zu bestimmen sind. Sie enthält Festlegungen zur Bewertung und Überprüfung der Leistungsbeständigkeit der Produkte. Diese Europäische Norm behandelt darüber hinaus zusätzliche technische Eigenschaften, die für die Anwendung und Akzeptanz des Produkts durch die Bauwirtschaft von Bedeutung sind, und enthält die Referenzprüfverfahren für diese Eigenschaften.
