Description:
Diese Europäische Norm beschreibt die Leistungsanforderungen und Prüfverfahren für den Einbau von Oberflächenbehandlungen als einem Produkt, das zur Oberflächenbehandlung auf Straßen und sonstige Verkehrsflächen aufgebracht wird. Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für Oberflächenbehandlungen, deren Ausführung vom Auftraggeber entwickelt wird. Diese Europäische Norm ist nicht auf Oberflächenbehandlungen anwendbar, die in Tunneln oder in Bereichen, die Brandschutzbestimmungen unterliegen, eingebaut werden. Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für die punktuell erfolgende Oberflächenbehandlung von Straßen auf Flächen von weniger als 500 m2 (z. B. Anspritzen und Abstreuen, insbesondere bei manueller Ausführung). Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für Fahrbahnbefestigungen, die zur Befahrung durch Flugzeuge vorgesehen sind und für die internationale Bestimmungen gelten, z. B. Bestimmungen der ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) (Flugplätze).

This European Standard for Surface Dressing describes the requirements for binders; chippings; tolerances for the rate of spread and coefficients of variation for accuracy of spread of binders and chippings; visual assessment of defects; skid resistance; resistance to noise generation; and durability. It contains evaluation of conformity clauses. It is applicable to surface dressings for roads, airfields and other trafficked areas. This European Standard is not applicable to surface dressings carried out in tunnels. Note: A tunnel is an enclosed section of road where tunnel, fire regulations apply.
